2017: Earned Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year honor, turning eight double plays in 2017, including a tie for top marks against League opponents with four...collected Academic-All Patriot League honors...committed just two errors at shortstop, assisting on 56 plays and putting out 40 to rank as the top-fielding shortstop in the Patriot League...started every game at shortstop in second campaign...finished season with .236 average that she raised 114 points over the last month of the season, batting in the middle of the order...led the team with three home runs and four stolen bases...had four multiple-hit games and managed a 10-game hitting streak over 10 of the last 11 games of the season...blasted a three-run home run in a 5-4 win over St. Peter's...went 4-for-5, including a solo home run, with four RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Delaware State (4/29)...one of 13 Lafayette softball student-athletes named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
2016: Earned All-Patriot League Second-Team honors while also garnering team Rookie of the Year honors...hit for a team-best .324 average (.327 in league play) with eight doubles, a home run and 17 RBI...started all 45 games at shortstop...had 11 multi-hit games, batting from the Nos' 3, 4 and 5 sports in the order, and two six-game hitting streaks...managed a .777 OPS, second on the team, with an on-base percentage of .373 and a slugging percentage of .404...hit .400 (8-for-20) with two outs and .438 as the lead-off hitter in an inning...drove in three runs in her collegiate debut, an 11-8 win over Rhode Island (2/19) that help propel her to her first Patriot League Rookie of the Week honor (2/22)...Wensel repeated the conference honor a week later, hitting for a .455 average with two extra-base hits over four games vs. UMES and UMBC...was 3-for-3 in the box against Holy Cross (4/10) in the second game of the series, hitting her first collegiate home in the first inning...that performance led to her third Patriot League Rookie of the Week award...single up the middle in the third inning of the series finale with Army led to a 1-0 win (5/8)...one of 16 Lafayette softball players to earn a place on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
