Maws 'n Paws is the parent group for the Lafayette football team. The primary role of the group is to promote fellowship within the Lafayette football family and to organize and host the traditional post-game tailgates for players and their families to share a meal together after home games. The organization, led by representatives from the sophomore and junior player parents' group, acts as a liaison between the football office and the Maws 'n Paws membership to help organize player parents who want to participate in football-related events.
The group uses an e-mail newsletter, called Leopard Lines to keep members informed of season schedules, team travel information and away game directions, among other things. Maws 'n Paws goal is to help make the player family experience a warm and friendly one. Maws 'n Paws also works with and assists Friends of Football in fundraising efforts, primarily by sponsoring various football related events, selling 50/50 raffle tickets at home games and participating in Friends of Lafayette Football planning meetings.
