Scott Boches

Scott Boches begins his third year at Lafayette as the pitching coach for the 2026 season.

In 2025, Boches mentored 2025 All-Patriot League Second-Team selection Joe Skapinetz. The Far Hills N.J. native finished the season with a league-best 79 strikeouts

In 2023, Boches was part of a Leopards team that advanced to the Patriot League Tournament. Boches mentored a Lafayette pitching staff that included All-Patriot League First-Team performer Alex Walsh, who finished the season with a 6-2 record and a 3.71 ERA. 

Prior to coming to Lafayette, Boches spent six seasons with the Seattle Mariners organization, recording 220 strikeouts and a 3.95 ERA during his professional career, and advancing as high as AAA. The Mariners selected Boches in the 30th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft.

Before embarking on his professional career, Boches played collegiately at Marist College, where he completed four seasons in Poughkeepsie for the Red Foxes under current Army head coach Chris Tracz, earning his bachelors degree in Business Administration, with a minor in Psychology. In his final collegiate season, Boches was a team captain, recording a 6-5 record, and was a part of a Marist team that won the 2017 MAAC Championship. He was selected as a member of the MAAC All-Tournament team. The Red Foxes advanced to the NCAA tournament in 2017, where they competed in the Gainesville Regional. 

A native of Feasterville, PA, Boches played scholastically at Archbishop Wood High School.
