Tommy Merlo begins his first year at Lafayette as the Director of Baseball Operations & Analytics for the 2023 season.
Merlo comes to College Hill after spending the summer of 2022 as a Major League Baseball scouting liaison for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod League.
Prior to his time with the Commodores, Merlo was a student manager with the Michigan State baseball team, where he assisted the coaching staff with scouting and analytics, along with recording in-game statistics to analyze for player development.
Merlo graduated from Michigan State University in 2022 with a degree in special education.
