Biography

2024: Selected to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team...started all 12 games…finished the season with 29 tackles, one pass breakup and a fumble recovery…registered at least two tackles in nine games...selected as one of 54 Leopard players who earned Patriot League Academic Honor Roll laurels after achieving a 3.7 GPA.

2023: Started the first nine games at cornerback before an injury…made 23 stops on the season, adding 2.0 TFL…also contributed four pass breakups…had eight games in which he made two or more tackles…recorded first career sack in a win at Princeton (10/7).

2022: Started all 11 games at cornerback...finished the season with 39 tackles while leading the team in pass breakups (12) and interceptions (2)...had three or more tackles in seven games...picked off two passes in a 24-14 win at Bucknell (10/1), including an 80-yard interception that he returned for a touchdown on his way to Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honors...made a career-high 11 tackles vs. Princeton (10/8)...accumulated five tackles and broke up five passes in a rivalry win over Lehigh (11/19).

2021 Fall: Played in 10 games with his first career start coming against Colgate (11/13)...saw time at cornerback and on special teams...finished the season with five tackles, including a season-high three stops at Colgate...forced a fumble vs. New Hampshire (9/18).

2021 Spring: Played in two of three games, seeing playing time in the defensive backfield and on special teams...made first career tackle at Bucknell (3/27).

AT McDONOGH: Played defensive back, running back and kick returner...earned All-MIAA honors and was named All-Metro Second Team at defensive back by the Baltimore Sun...two-sport athlete who also competed in track and field...honor roll student...30-hour famine volunteer at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church

Personal: Son of Atem and Edith Samson…has an older brother, Atem, and an older sister, M.K....brother played football at Boston College...born 8/1/02.
