David Rosen

David Rosen begins his first season as the Director of Football Operations at Lafayette.

Rosen will coordinate administrative functions and assisting in team operations. He will oversee equipment management, filming/video coordination, on-campus recruiting logistics, team travel arrangements, facility maintenance, alumni events/communication, camp enrollment/operation and quality-control assistance.

Rosen comes to Lafayette from Fairmont State in West Virginia where he worked for head coach Jason Woodman. That followed a four-year tenure at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., where he served in the same capacity. At Bryant, Rosen was a vital part of team travel, recruiting, training camp, spring game planning, compliance issues and practice planning/scheduling.

Prior to his time at Bryant, Rosen spent three years as the VP of Business Development at Metro Area Sports LLC in Vienna, Va. His role involved identifying potential investor candidates and conducting meetings to secure equity capital for an Arena Football team in Washington, D.C. He also developed a business plan showing return on investment potential of a franchise over a three-year period.

Prior to his position in Virginia, Rosen spent three seasons as the Director of Football Operations at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La. He managed all aspects of the football recruiting process and helped the program garner the top recruiting class in the FCS in 2009. Rosen also oversaw compliance issues, prospective student-athlete visits and spearheaded Northwestern State University's relationship with the NFL and pro scouts. He worked with the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach during practice.

Rosen worked in the Arena Football League for five years prior to his post at Northwestern State University. He began as a player personnel and offensive quality control coach with the San Jose SaberCats. Rosen was the lead scout for 15 NFL teams and helped put together a team that won Arena Bowl XXI in 2007. He also handled the breakdown of film and in the game plan for each week. He spent the 2008 season with the Arizona Rattlers, working in player personnel and as a regional scout. Rosen was the lead scout for five college football conferences in the eastern region of the U.S., recruited and signed five players to the Rattlers roster.

Rosen earned his bachelors degree in history from Arizona State in 1993 and his Master's in Sport Management from Northwestern State University in 2010. He is married to Anne Wu.
