Tiquan Underwood

Tiquan Underwood begins his first season as Lafayette's wide receivers coach. It is the first coaching job for Underwood who spent five seasons in the NFL with Jacksonville (2009-10), New England (2011), Tampa Bay (2012-13) and Carolina (2014). He also played for three seasons in the CFL with Hamilton (2015-16) and Montreal (2016-17).

A native of New Brunswick, N.J., Underwood graduated from Rutgers University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. He was an All-Big East Conference First-Team selection as a junior in 2007 when he made a team-leading 65 catches for seven touchdowns and became the second player in school history with 1,000-plus receiving yards in a season. During that season, he also earned All-America Third-Team honors. Underwood served as a team captain in 2008, reeling in 40 balls for 494 yards and five touchdowns.

Underwood is married to his wife, Samantha, and the couple has two daughters.
