TyQuan Hammock

TyQuan Hammock begins his first season as the linebackers coach on the Lafayette football staff.  

Hammock spent the 2020 season as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa. 

In 2019, Hammock was a graduate assistant at Northern Illinois, working with the linebackers. That followed a 2018 season during which he broke into collegiate coaching at Kentucky Christian University where he mentored the defensive backs. 

Hammock is a 2013 graduate of Michigan State University where he earned a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. A three-time letterwinner, the Fort Wayne, Ind. native played in 36 games over three seasons, accumulating 32 tackles with a forced fumble. He also caught two balls for 45 yards and returned four kicks for 44 yards during his Spartan career which included a Big Ten title in 2010.

Hammock is married to his wife, Kenya, as has two daughters, Kyleigh and Sadie.
