AT CEDAR CLIFF: Earned All-Mid-Penn Conference honors as a three-year letterwinner at Cedar Cliff...garnered All-Sentinel laurels...served as team captain of football and wrestling teams, wrestling in the 132, 170 and 195-pound weight classes...National Honor Society student who participated in the Cedar Cliff Mini-THON, Project ALS Student Council and Young Republicans.

Personal: Son of Robert and Amanda Whalen...father wrestled at Cornell, older sister, Ashton, played field hockey at Villanova while older sister, Brett is a thrower on the Notre Dame track and field team...has a younger brother, Bobby...comes from same high school as Tom Kirchhoff '93, Chad Walker '06, Bryan Kazmierowski '07...born 9/11/97.
