Luke Chiarolanzio ’15 begins his second season on the Lafayette coaching staff and first under head coach John Garrett.
Chiarolanzio oversaw the tight ends in 2016 when Dylan Wadsworth played his way to All- Patriot League First-Team honors, finishing second on the team with 41 catches for 591 yards and two touchdowns. Wadsworth returns for his senior season while junior Angus Evans, who started four games and played in all 11, also comes back to the fold.
Prior to joining the Lafayette coaching staff, Chiarolanzio spent a season as an assistant coach at FDU-Florham near his hometown of Florham Park, N.J.
Chiarolanzio, who started in 40 consecutive games for the Leopards, was a two-time All-Patriot League First-Team selection.
He was selected as a Preseason All-America by Phil Steele in his senior season of 2014. During that campaign, Chiarolanzio served as team captain before a bicep injury cut short his season.
In 2013, Chiarolanzio helped lead Lafayette to a Patriot League title and an NCAA FCS Playoff berth, earning Offensive Line MVP honors for the second straight season. As a rookie, Chiarolanzio started 10 of 11 games at right tackle and secured team Rookie of the Year honors.
