2011: Missed season due to shoulder surgery. AT HOTCHKISS SCHOOL: Spent a prep year at Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Conn....averaged 11.5 tackles per game on the way to All-Founders League and team MVP honors. AT NOTRE DAME: Honor roll student who racked up 77 tackles (7.5 per game) as a senior, playing linebacker...collected all-area plaudits as a senior...served as team captain...elected senior class president. PERSONAL: Son of David and Kristen Powell...enrolled at Lafayette in spring of 2011...has older brother, Michael...born 4/14/92.
