AT NEWBURGH FREE ACADEMY: A 2012 Section 9 All-Star and Athletic Scholar...in junior season, backed up Mikal Myers at tackle who is now at Connecticut...named to the Section 9 Exceptional Senior Game...three-sport athlete who played center on the basketball team and also competed in crew...named outstanding rookie in the 2012 spring crew season...received the Excellence in Character and Dedication to Service Award...member of the National Honor Society and National Science Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Son of Thomas and Carol Helm...has two younger sisters, Kaila and Zakiya...born 1/1/95.
