Jarren Dyson

Jarren Dyson is in his fifth season with the Maroon and White as an assistant coach and the program's recruiting coordinator. Dyson is involved in player development with the perimeter players and works with student-athlete academics, while also managing administrative duties and the day-to-day operations of the program. He also served as program director for Lafayette's Elite Camp for two seasons.

Before embarking on his coaching journey with Lafayette, Dyson spent four seasons as an assistant at Christopher Newport, a D-III institution in Newport News, Va., under former Lafayette assistant coach John Krikorian. During his time there, he helped lead the team to back-to-back conference championships and a run to the program’s first-ever Final Four appearance in 2016.

The Captains held a 99-19 record and three conference championships over his tenure. Dyson was responsible for the development of seven All-Conference performers, two Conference Players of the Year and two First-Team All-Americans.

Prior to his time in Virginia, he was an assistant at Tabb High School for two years, leading the Tigers to the state quarterfinals both years.

As a player at Emory & Henry in Emory, Va., Dyson started all four years, serving as a team captain for his final two seasons. He sits fourth all-time in assists at his alma mater and was selected as the team’s Most Valuable Player following the 2009-10 season.

Dyson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 2010, majoring in Sport Management with a minor in Business Management.
