Biography

2024: Named a team captain before the start of the season...started all 13 games at attack…led the team in goals (30) and assists (18) for 48 points…became the seventh player in program history to reach 150-career points and sits sixth all-time with 156…his 75 career assists rank him fourth in the program’s all-time time leaders…USILA All-Star honoree...one of 38 members selected to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2023: Started and played in 15 games…scored 19 goals and led the Leopards with 27 assists…named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week on 4/24 after scoring four goals and dishing out four assists in Lafayette's 14-13 overtime win against Bucknell. He reached 100 career points in the victory, with 52 goals and 52 assists…named to the USILA Team of the Week on 4/24.

2022: A starter in all 15 games as a sophomore, ranking second on the team with 39 points... scored 20 goals with 19 assists... scored a career-best six goals at Bucknell and collected a hat-trick at No. 4 Virginia in the season finale... dished out four assists at Holy Cross... grabbed eight ground balls and had five man-up goals. 

2021: Started all 11 games as a freshman, ranking second on the team with 13 goals and led the team with 11 assists... totaled 24 points on the season... collected 16 ground balls and caused five turnovers... scored three goals in his collegiate debut vs. VMI with three assists... helped Lafayette lead the Patriot League as 1-of-44 selections to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

At Episcopal Academy: Played four years of lacrosse, accumulating more than 100 points as a four-year starter at attack and in the midfield…named All-State, All-Section and All-Town for Delaware County…volunteered with Horizons Philly, the Harlem Lacrosse Organization and on an Appalachian Service Project.

Personal: Son of Melissa and the late John Cunniffe…has a younger brother, Nicholas and an older sister, Eliza…his father, John, played lacrosse at Army and was the first All-American in lacrosse from John Jay High School in Katonah, N.Y., and his step-father, Chris Bates, played lacrosse at Dartmouth.
