Kacy Kapinos joined the Lafayette men's lacrosse program as an assistant coach during the summer of 2023.
Kapinos graduated from Ohio State in December '16 with a B.S. Health Sciences and a minor in Entrepreneurship. The Baltimore, Md. native was a team captain and defensive midfielder for the Buckeyes, where he was coached by Lafayette's Hall for three years. He was named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team in 2015, tabbed a two-time scholar-athlete, received the Buckeye Power Club award and was an ECAC and Big Ten Lacrosse Tournament Champion in 2013.
After graduation, he took a position as a sales representative for Zimmer Biomet. Kapinos specialized in selling orthopedic medical devices at the busiest account in the Mid-Atlantic territory. He also organized and led educational labs for surgeons, residents and fellows by teaching staff surgical steps with updated equipment.
In his free time, Kapinos has completed five marathons and three ultra-marathons, one being a 100-mile course.
