Pat Shea was named to the Lafayette College men's lacrosse staff in August of 2021 as the program's volunteer assistant coach.
Shea arrives on College Hill after successful stints as the head coach at Sparta High School and Hackettstown High School in New Jersey where he was awarded NJ.com and New Jersey Herald Coach of the Year in both 2018 and 2019.

In his four seasons as a head coach, Shea compiled 43 wins and reached the state playoffs every year. Sparta High School claimed the 2019 conference championship and the 2021 Spartans reached the state semifinals.

Shea attended Belmont Abbey College and was the captain of the institution’s inaugural men’s lacrosse program. He also founded the Jersey Thunder West club lacrosse program, building strategic partnerships with the PLL and other area club teams.

Shea comes to Lafayette with his wife Jillian, daughter Evelyn, and dogs Charley and Maddie.
