Bridget Bailey enters year two as the top assistant under Karavin Dew, serving as the team's pitching coach while assisting in other key areas of the program.

In her first campaign with the Leopards, Lafayette captured the program's most Patriot League wins since 2017 and secured a conference series win for the first time since 2018. The Leopards significantly improved their fielding, shaving 33 errors from the 2022 total. In Patriot League play, the team boosted its batting average 30 points from the prior season.

A 2022 graduate of Kutztown University, Bailey graduated with a bachelor of science degree in sport management in 2022 and was a four-year member of the Kutztown softball team. She ranks second in career strikeouts (450) and fourth in career wins (56). The Norwood, Pa. native also holds the Kutztown record for career saves (8) and ranks fifth in career shutouts (15) and single-season wins (22).

Bailey was a three-time All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference honoree and was named its pitcher of the week on eight occasions. She was tabbed as the PSAC Freshman of the Year in 2019 and its Pitcher of the Year in 2022 when she guided Kutztown to a PSAC title and an NCAA Division II Atlantic Super Regional berth.

In 2022, Bailey served as a facility management intern at Elite Sports Academy in Emmaus, Pa. She also worked as a pitching instructor for four years, helping girls ages 7-18 with pitching mechanics. In her senior school year, she was also a member of the Kutztown swimming team.
