Jessica Bump begins her first season at Lafayette. The Windsor, N.Y. native spent the 2015 season as a graduate assistant and director of analytics for the University of Kentucky's softball program. Bump will work primarily with the team's infielders and hitters as well as play a major role in the running game.

Bump was a starting infielder and all-conference player for Binghamton University's softball team from 2011-14 and left as the program's leader in stolen bases (63). In her senior season, Bump was named All-America East Conference First Team for a second consecutive year as well as being named to the All-Academic Team for the third straight year.

She appeared and started in all 47 of her team's games in 2014 and recorded multiple hits in 10 contests. In 2013, she was an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-Star and Binghamton University's Co-Female Athlete of the Year. Bump graduated from Binghamton in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Health and Wellness Studies.
