Lafayette College Athletics

2025: Started in all 16 games for Lafayette as the team’s primary goalkeeper…made 179 saves during the season, while holding a 53.8 save percentage…averaged 9.71 goals against per outing, ranking fourth amongst his conference foes…scooped up 41 ground balls and caused 10 turnovers…named the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week on Apr. 14 after making 11 saves in Lafayette’s upset (11-9) over then No. 15 Boston U.

2024: Started all 13 games in goal for the Leopards…tallied 149 saves throughout the season, posting a 50.3 percent save percentage…made a career-high 18 saves at Delaware (2/10)…scooped up 23 ground balls…named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week (2/26) after his performances against Drexel (2/20) and Binghamton (2/24)...one of 38 members selected to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2023: Had a break-out season in his rookie campaign, starting and playing in all 16 contests…named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week on 2/27 and 3/20…recorded a goals against average of 12.94 and a .464 save percentage…made 172 saves in his first season on College Hill.

Joe Doherty: A three-year player in goal for Malvern Prep, Doherty helped lead his team to two conference championships to go along with all-conference, all-state and conference MVP honors as a senior...Doherty helped lead his team to a 20-3 overall record, which placed them eighth nationally, according to Inside Lacrosse...Doherty also earned U.S. Lacrosse All-American status as a senior while receiving distinguished honors in the classroom...He plans to major in Economics on College Hill...The son of Steve and Denise Doherty, Steve played football at the University of Pennsylvania while his mother Denise played softball at Villanova University.
