Jamarra Robinson is in her second season on College Hill serving as an assistant coach of the Lafayette women's basketball team. Prior to her hiring in July, she was the head women's basketball coach at Indian River State College.
In her first season in Easton, Robinson helped improve Lafayette’s Patriot League win total to six victories. She also helped guide the Leopards to their first home playoff win since the 2021-22 season. Robinson worked with the Leopards’ 21st 1,000-point scorer, Abby Antognoli and All-Patriot League Rookie Team member and current sophomore, Talia Zurinskas.
During her time at Indian River, Robinson oversaw 22 All-FCSAA Conference selections, the team's highest national ranking in school history (15th) and seven players being signed to division one rosters. She also led the River to a Southern Conference championship during the 2023-24 season, recording a program high 26 wins and going undefeated at home (10-0).
Before entering the junior collegiate coaching ranks, Robinson served as head coach of her alma mater Centennial High School. With her at the helm, the team earned back-to-back appearances in the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) District Finals. In 2018, the team was crowned District Champions with Robinson claiming the FHSAA Coach of the Year title for District 9 Class 2A and 2018 TC Palm Coach of the Year award. Team member, Raquel Tolbert, was later named the 2018 District Player of the Year.
Life before Centennial included new beginnings for Robinson. During the 2015-16 season, Robinson worked at Saint Petersburg College as the team's recruiting coordinator and assistant coach. She also helped monitor the academic progress of her team's student-athletes.
Robinson had an impressive four-year playing career. She was named an FCSAA First Team all-conference honoree both years at Palm Beach State College, before she graduated with an Associate of Arts in Education. She later finished her playing career at Saint Leo University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In 2016, Robinson completed her Master's Degree in Athletic Administration from Concordia Irvine University.
