Biography

2025-26: Selected as a team captain...one of two players to start and compete in all 32 games...averaged a team-high 34.0 minutes per game with over 1,000 minutes of playing time...dished a team-high 135 assists while keeping to 36 turnovers, topping out at seventh in the NCAA through the winter...one of four Leopards in double figures at St. Joseph’s...spent a team-high 32 minutes on the court at Texas...dished a team-high seven assists versus Cornell...one of three players in double figures (13 points) at Stonehill...went 5-for-5 at the line vs. Monmouth...scored a career-high 20 points and dished a career-high eight assists at Georgia Tech...paced the squad with 19 points against Colgate...recorded seven assists in the PL win at Loyola Maryland...scored a team-high 17 points vs. Boston...made three steals at Lehigh...dished seven assists vs. Bucknell...matched his career-high in assists against American...commanded the Leopards with 21 points (8-of-10 at the line) and six assists versus Army...contributed a career-high 10 assists in the Patriot League Championship's first round outing against Holy Cross. 

2024-25: The only player to start in every contest up to Feb. 19...one of three Leopards in double figures (11) against Penn, which included both game-winning free throws with two seconds on the clock...posted 13 points at Cornell...secured a team-high 10-of-13 (76.9%) from the charity stripe at Rhode Island as the Leopards posted a season-high total of 21-of-27 (77.8%)...netted 14 points against Binghamton, which included all 12 of his free throw attempts... one of five starters in double figures (12) vs. Holy Cross...dished five assists vs. American and six assists at Colgate...led the squad with 12 points vs. Loyola...sidelined due to injury following the Feb. 19 game against Bucknell.

2023-24: Started and competed in all 32 contests, averaging 7.4 points, 3.7 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game…shot 91-of-182 (.500) from the floor overall…netted 54 out of 87 free throws (.621)…grabbed 90 rebounds and made 32 steals…recorded four blocks…made his first career start, playing 18 minutes at St. Joseph’s... scored seven points against Monmouth during the Cathedral Classic from Nov. 24-26...tallied 15 points and eight assists at Columbia...one of three players finish in double figures against Quinnipiac...made a last-minute steal and layup to send the Leopards to a 52-47 Patriot League opening victory against Army...recorded a team-high 14 points at Colgate...named Patriot League Rookie of the Week on Jan. 15 and Jan. 20...scored 16 points in the OT victory versus Bucknell...one of four players in double figures (20, a career-high) at Lehigh (OT2) in a team-high 43 minutes... named to the 2023-24 All-Patriot League Rookie Team.

AT WILLIAM PENN CHARTER: A four-year varsity point guard... given the Coaches Award as a freshman and tabbed Second Team All-Inter-AC as a sophomore... his junior season saw accomplishments such as the Inter-AC championship winner, MVP of the Inter-AC, First Team All-Inter-AC, non-PIAA All-State Third Team and Third Team All-City... has club experience for Philly Pride, under coach Brandon Williams in his home city where he was a 16u Under Armour Association champion as an eighth grader... received multiple semesterly academic honors and lists extracurriculars as Bookbag Drive member, Food Drive member, Cleaning the Highway program and the Share Food program... also participated in one year of varsity track.

PERSONAL: Butler has one brother, Miles, and his uncle, Terrance Barge, played basketball for the University of Maryland.
