At Columbus Academy: Halpern, who also played field hockey, competed at the varsity level for four years in lacrosse. The New Albany, Ohio native assisted the lacrosse program to a 14-5 record in 2024 as the Central Buckeye League champions. She was a two-time team captain, collecting multiple First Team Mid-State and Central Independent League honors. During her senior campaign, she was titled the conference Player of the Year. Halpern was also a five-time All-Mid-State League Academic selection and a 2024 USA Lacrosse Academic All-American. She has given over 45 hours of community service to those in need as a volunteer at the Mid-Ohio Food Collective and served as a member of her high school's service board. Under coach Jillian Byers Matusz, she played club for Impact Lacrosse.

Personal: She has two siblings, Jordan and Ethan. Her cousin, Ryan Taffe, plays basketball for Sienna.
