Christian Kiselica, who spent eight years as a Division I assistant coach and the 2022 season as the head coach at Cedar Crest College, entered his second season as the Lafayette women's volleyball head coach in 2024.

In his two years at the helm, Kiselica compiled a coaching record of 16-33 (7-25 in Patriot League play). His most notable win (3-1) came at the VCU Invitational against ACC foe Virginia Tech. Lafayette’s victory over the Hokies was the program’s first-ever win over a Power 4 opponent in the Patriot League era.

He comes to College Hill following one season as the head coach at Cedar Crest. In that time, Kiselica had a significant impact, guiding the Allentown, Pa. school to a Colonial States Athletic Conference title and an NCAA Tournament berth, just the second time in the school’s history for both achievements.

Under his purview, six student-athletes earned all-conference honors, including defensive player of the year and rookie of the year. The program boasted a 3.6 team GPA and ranked first in the league in eight statistical categories.

Prior to Cedar Crest, Kiselica was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at George Washington University from 2019-22. He finished his last season at GW as the interim head coach. Kiselica was integral in GW’s success as the defensive coordinator, guiding the team’s libero to a top-25 national ranking in digs per set. While in D.C., he recruited talent from across the globe, pulling in multiple top-50 recruits and giving GW one of the top recruiting classes in the country in 2022.

Before his time at George Washington, Kiselica spent three years at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), serving in numerous roles from offensive coordinator and setters’ coach to defensive coordinator and interim head coach. Kiselica saw four student-athletes earn All-America East honors, including the 2017 rookie of the year. In 2019, the program ranked second in the conference in digs, blocks and opposing hitting percentage.

Kiselica graduated from Temple in 2017 with a bachelor of science degree in Sports and Recreation Management. He spent 2015-17 as the Temple’s director of volleyball operations. In that span, the Owls reached a program-best top-40 ranking. In 2014, Kiselica also spent one season as a volunteer assistant coach at Penn.

A four-year member of his alma mater’s men’s club volleyball team, Kiselica led the program to two top-10 finishes in the country as an outside hitter and libero. He began coaching when he was 19 and has been at the helm of multiple junior clubs. In the summer of 2022, Kiselica coached for the GEVA region in the USA High Performance national championships.

A native of Newtown, Pa., Kiselica and his wife, Rhiannon, reside in Hackettstown, N.J. with their two dogs.
