Lydia Redman joined Lafayette volleyball's coaching staff in the summer of 2025 under first-year head coach CJ Werneke. Redman previously had been serving as an assistant coach at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa. for the past two seasons.
While at Muhlenberg, Redman aided the Mules to a 14-11 record in 2023 and a 10-13 mark in 2024. She was instrumental in developing/maintaining a consistent practice schedule as well as creating team drills and competitive strategies. The former Warrior libero was additionally tasked with recruitment of prospective student-athletes, scouting and organizing camps.
Before arriving in Allentown, Redman spent five seasons (2018-2023) as the head varsity coach at Stroudsburg High School. During that time, she also spent a year (2020) as an academic support and development intern at Lafayette. In Easton, her tasks included meeting/planning aid for at risk student-athletes, preparing weekly athlete assessment reports for coaches and monitoring study hour sessions.
She earned her master’s degree at East Stroudsburg in Sport Management in 2020 and held two graduate assistantships over that two-year time frame. First, she worked as a graduate assistant to the associate athletic director for student success. In that role, she created tutoring schedules, identified registration concerns and conducted reports on annual athletic transcripts. The following year she served as a graduate student worker to the associate athletic director of compliance.
Redman was a four-year member of East Stroudsburg’s volleyball team, primarily competing as a libero. She earned her bachelors’ degree in Athletic Training in the spring of 2018.
