Shai Bloom

Shai Bloom was hired in June of 2024 after serving as the technical coordinator for the University of Virginia’s women’s volleyball program.

Prior to his time in Virginia, Bloom operated as an assistant coach at Dominican University in 2022. At Dominican, he was tasked with defensive and serving responsibilities, as well as assisting in scouting reports and data analytics. In his first season in Orangeburg, the team posted its best season in digs and service errors per set in the last 10 years.

Bloom also served as a head coach at Garden State Elite Volleyball Club (GSEVC) for two seasons.

Before arriving at Dominican and GSEVC, Shai was as a volunteer assistant at Felician University, as well as head coach of Millburn High School’s boy’s junior varsity team.

In 2022, Bloom graduated from George Washington University with an honors degree in Economics. While pursuing his degree, he was a practice player for the women’s division one team where he originally met coach Kiselica.

Kiselica and Bloom share a vision for the Lafayette program based on past experiences and the belief in supporting student-athletes.
