Colgate took the lead early when Brendan Skonieczki put in a rebound after Lafayette goalie Drew Stotler (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) made a diving save. Amazingly, two players were credited with the assist.

Colgate went up 2-0 at 69:54 when Tim Gerges scored his second goal of the season. Two Colgate players were credited with assists on the scoring play.

Lafayette could not get on the board until 80:21 when sophomore Paulo Coelho (Whippany, N.J./Whippany Park) scored an unassisted goal.

Stotler made six saves in goal, while giving up a pair of goals. Colgate keeper Jon Brunell made three saves while allowing one goal in 90 minutes.
