BOSTON, Mass. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette women's soccer teams season came to an end on Saturday as St. John's dealt the Leoaprds a 3-0 loss in semifinal action at the ECAC Championships at Northeastern University's Parsons Field.
Red Storm junior Lisa Kaczmarski netted two goals, including the game-winner from Jaime Clark at the 27:25 mark. St. John's (12-8), the top seed, advances to meet second-seeded Penn in Sunday's championship. Penn defeated host Northeastern in the second semifinal, 3-1.
The Red Storm controlled the tempo the entire game, outshooting the Leopards 15-6. St. John's sophomore Erin Zambelli scored the team's other goal at the 78:23 mark from senior Amber Carr's rebound off the post.
Lafayette finishes the season with a record of 11-8, the most wins in the program's 11-year history.
