WASHINGTON, DC - Lafayette led Georgetown almost eight minutes into the game, but the Hoyas, on the strength of two three-pointers and three Lafayette turnovers, went on a 14-0 run and never looked back, en route to a 87-43 blowout of the Leopards. The loss drops Lafayette to 0-3, all non-conference defeats, on the road. Freshman Elizabeth Rojahn (York, PA/York) was the only Leopard to score in double figures, finishing with 10 points on 5 of 12 shooting. Katie Miller (Philadelphia, PA/William Penn Charter) and Laurie Infantino (Easton, PA/Easton) both scored eight points.

The Leopards' 16 first half turnovers led to an 18 point half, the lowest this season, and an irreperable 45-18 deficit. To top it off, Lafayette shot only 27 percent in the second half, thwarting a comeback bid early.

Georgetown was led by Katie Smrcka-Duffy, who finished with 20 points, including 16 in the first half. Three other players tallied double figures for the Hoyas, who improved to 2-2.

Next up for the Leopards is a home contest versus Delaware on Monday, Nov. 29 beginning at 5:45 p.m. The game will be televised on LSN-TV.
