Box Score

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Despite Lafayette freshman Jen Bayer's sixth double-double in the last eight games, the Leopard women's basketball team dropped a non-conference road game at Pennsylvania, 79-62.

Bayer led Lafayette with 20 points and 10 rebounds, helping the Leopards close a 10-point halftime deficit to just three points with a little more than 11:00 left in the game. However, Penn, led by Diana Caramanico's game-high 25 points, was too much for Lafayette.

Also scoring in double figures for Lafayette was senior guard Sarah Harris with 10 points. Sophomores Laurie Infantino and Christina LiVecchi each added eight points in the loss.

The Leopards fall to 3-14, while Penn improves to 10-5.

Lafayette continues a tough portion of its schedule -- one that will three games in six days -- by returning home to host arch rival Lehigh on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at 5:45 p.m..
