Lafayette Suffers Patriot League Loss to Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, PA - Last time Lafayette and Lehigh played, the Leopards sent shockwaves through the league with a convincing, 83-66 win. But it wasn't to be repeated, as the Mountain Hawks out-executed Lafayette in every phase of the game, en route to a 88-55 win at Stabler Arena.

Lehigh was in control of the game from the opening tap, taking a 42-25 lead into the locker room. The second half was more of the same, as Lehigh's freshman center Anne Tierney dumped in 15 second stanza points, garnering game-high honors with 23 points. Overall, four Mountain Hawks reached double-figures, and Lehigh shot 48 percent for the game, as opposed to Lafayette's paltry 33 percent. Tierney added 16 rebounds.

Lafayette's scoring load came mostly from three players: Jen Bayer with 17, Chris LiVecchi with 12, and Sara Harris with 11 points, respectively. Only four other Lafayette players scored.

The Leopards return to action Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 5:45 p.m., as Colgate invades the friendly confines of AP Kirby Sports Center.
