EASTON, PA - Lafayette women's basketball used a 12-0 run to head into the locker room up 34-22, and pulled ahead by as many as 16 points in the second half. The Leopards shot just 28 percent in the second half, allowing the Great Danes of Albany to come back and steal a 60-57 win in Lafayette's last non-league game of the season.

The Leopards stormed out to a 6-2 run to begin the second half, taking their biggest lead of the game at 40-24. The Great Danes went on a 30-14 run, in large part due to Liz Tucker's career-high 18 rebounds and 21 points, to tie the game at 54 with 3:52 left. They then took their first lead in the second half on Tucker's athletic runner from the lane.

Liz Rojahn again carried the Leopards on her shoulders, as she did all day with her 25 points and 10 rebounds, both career-highs and her first double-double of her career. She hit two free throws to tie the game at 57, but then watched helplessly as the Great Danes' Melissa Schoonover hit one of two free throws, and Tucker sealed the victory with two free throws of her own. A last second three point try by Rojahn was all Lafayette could muster, which was blocked and fell to the floor.

Jen Bayer had 10 points and seven rebounds for the hosts, and Sara Harris tied a career-high with seven steals. Harris had a good overall day, scoring five points, grabbing five rebounds, passing out six assists and snagging seven steals. For Albany, Megan Buchanan had 11 points, and Dawn DiMicco had 10 points, respectively.

The Leopards, who fall to 4-17, return to the Patriot League this Wednesday, Feb. 9 as they travel to Annapolis, MD in an attempt to sweep the season series against Navy. The Leopards topped the Midshipmen in Jan., 52-50.
