FAIRFAX, Va. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette softball team lost to Siena 8-1 on Saturday in its second game of the two-day Patriot Classic at George Mason Stadium.

Siena (7-5) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning before adding insurance runs in the fourth, sixth and seventh innings.

The Leopards (1-5) were led by senior Kelly Wise who went 1-for-3 with the lone RBI for Lafayette. Laura Schrager, Becky Foley and Liz Lucisano also registered hits in the loss. Freshman Megan Longo picked up the loss on the mound, allowing the eight runs on 13 hits.

Lafayette plays its final game of the tournament against host George Mason at 3:30 this afternoon.
