EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 contest to Patriot League front-runner Army, 2-0 on Saturday night at Metzgar Field.
The Black Knights (11-2-2, 4-1-1) got on the scoreboard early. Jordan Pascucci scored on a rebound in front of Leopard goalkeeper Ashley Wesmiller, giving Army a 1-0 lead at 12:30.
Army struck again in the second half as Leigh Kosco scored on a left cross from Pascucci at 46:40, beating Leopard keeper Marissa Mullins.
Wesmiller finished with three saves for the Leopards, while Mullins stopped four shots.
The Leopards (8-6-1, 2-3) were out-shot 10-7 and committed more fouls, by a count of 22-16.
Lafayette returns to action on Tuesday at 7 p.m. when American visits Metzgar Field for the Leopards' last regular season home contest.
