Track Competes at Penn Relays, Millersville Metrics

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - The Lafayette men's and women's track and field teams were both in action this weekend, competing at the Penn Relays and the Millersville Metrics.

At the Millersville Invitational, Olivia Tusinski and Ambyr Craw tied for second place in pole vault. The duo tied the school record with an 11'6" effort and qualified for the ECAC Championships.

In the javelin, Jackie Bingham came in third place and qualified for the ECAC Championships with a throw of 132'8".

On Saturday at the Penn Relays, the Lafayette women placed 24th in the college division of the 4x800 relay. The team turned in a time of 9:27.67.

For the Lafayette men at the Penn Relays, Ethan Blose came in second in the college division. Blose tossed a throw of 210'5".

The Lafayette men's 4x400 team placed fourth in the Wetzler/Pennsylvania Relay which included only Pennsylvania institutions.

Jim Fischer placed 10th in the Eastern Division of the shot put with a throw of 51' 31/2". He also placed 19th in the discus (154'11").
