LAFAYETTE

Head Coach Frank Tavani: "I am extremely proud of these young men. It is great to win, but I am proud of how we did it today. They had some early turnovers and we had a chance to put the game away early, and I credit Towson for hanging in, but we kept coming back and playing hard and gave a great effort."

"My hats off to John Loose, and our entire defense gave a great effort. Our defense has been maligned. It was extremely hot out again, and we had an advantage going through that a week ago."

"It was extremely important to take advantage of turnovers. We actually didn't take full advantage of Towson's turnovers, but we put points on the board."

Jamie Anzalone SS: "We expected them to attack us deep especially after getting beat deep last week. We worked on it in practice, and understood how deep we had to be today. Last week our corners played great and the safeties were average, and this week the safeties stepped up to the corners' level."

Jeremy Burkes SE: "I came off the line and the defensive back turned his back and I had a little speed to get by him. I thought I had the deep ball open a few times. I told Marko that they were playing me one-on-one out there and the safety was inside. I like when they press, and I feel confident in my ability when I am one-on-one."

Marko Glavic QB: "Towson was playing a lot of cover two, and we were setting up the big pass against them. I looked off the tight end and laid it out there for Jeremy and once he caught it I knew he was gone. I looked off the tight end and the safety and Jeremy had a step."

TOWSON

Head Coach Gary Combs: "The injury early changed our outlook a little bit, but we still had to adjust. We adjusted well, but we didn't make plays and they did. Our protection was good, but when we were down 20-7 their defensive line could really tee off."

"I felt that we could play them man on the corners, they got out of the box and ran the naked (bootleg) well."

"They made plays, and we didn't. We didn't take advantage of our opportunities and they did. Defensively we played well, but we were on the field for a long time. I thought we could come back when they missed field goals, but we just didn't make plays in the first three quarters when it was still a close ball game."

Jay Amer QB: "We practiced against their cover two all week. I thought a couple long balls were there today. They took us out of our game today, and we couldn't get it going. We have to take it one week at a time now."

Jamal White WR: "We just have to bounce back next week, and forget about this week."
