PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Adam Chubb scored 17 points and had eight rebounds as Penn defeated Lafayette 88-68 on Wednesday for its fourth straight win.
Jeff Schiffner also had 15 points for the Quakers (6-4). Charlie Copp added 11 points and Mark Zoller had 10 points and seven rebounds.
Winston Davis scored 17 for Lafayette (9-4) and Rob Dill had 12 points, three blocks and two assists.
Justin DeBerry cut Penn's lead to 52-47 with a pull-up jumper early in the second half, but the Quakers then went on a 13-4 run with two 3-pointers from Schiffner and five points from Copp to take a 68-51 lead.
Lafayette came into the game with three wins over Ivy League opponents this season, including an 82-73 win over Columbia last Saturday. Penn was coming off winning the title of the Dreyfus Holiday Festival on Dec. 29 in New York.
