Head coach Fran O'Hanlon:
On the team's 7-0 Patriot League start:
"I think a lot of our success early in the Patriot League is because of the fact that we won some close early-season games that have given us some confidence heading into the league games. We're playing with a lot of poise. We're getting stops when we need to and we're getting scores when we need to. I think our senior leadership and our upperclassmen leadership has done a good job with that. As we look around the league, we can see that it is a very competitive league. There are probably six teams that can win this thing. For us, we want to do as well as we can. The second time around we have to make adjustments as teams are going to adjust to us. We start out up at Colgate and we haven't won at Colgate in three seasons. That will be a challenge for our upperclassmen to get a win up there."
On the team's ability to adapt:
"I think we've shown that we can play a lot of different games. If you want to go up-and-down with us, we can do that. If you want to slow it down, I think we can do that. Part of the reason for that is that we have scoring from both the inside and the outside."
On Pat Betley and Marcus Harley's production at point guard:
"You go into the season knowing that they are lacking a lot of experience and hoping that you can survive, especially at that position. I'm not sure whether either of them is a natural point guard, but they've really adjusted and made tremendous strides. This is Marcus' first go-around and he's improved from game to game and his confidence has gone up. Now we'll see as teams adjust to him how he'll continue to grow."
On junior forward Sean Knitter:
"He's been very productive on the offensive end. As he gets better on the defensive end he'll continue to get more minutes. Without Sean I don't think we're where we are right now."
On freshman forward Jamaal Douglas:
"Jamaal had a little bit of a setback earlier in the year when he was sick. Jamaal had a lot of people in front of him. He took the challenge and has worked hard in practice and each game he has improved. He is probably our best traffic rebounder - he can go up in traffic and come up with the ball. I think he's gotten more confident in knowing what his role should be."
