EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette was swept by Bucknell in the final two games of the weekend series on Sunday, falling 10-2 in the first game and 2-0 in game two. Bucknell won the final three games of the four-game set.

After Bucknell (6-7 overall, 3-1 Patriot League) plated a run in the top of the first of game one, Lafayette (6-12, 1-3) tallied a pair of unearned runs in the bottom half to take a 2-1 lead. A pair of singles and an error put runners on second and third with one out, and another Bucknell error brought Meghan Davis (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) home with the Leopards' first run. Jill Masterton (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) then scored from third on a passed ball to put the Leopards in front.

The Bison scored nine runs over the final three innings, including six in the sixth, to win going away. Bucknell collected a two-run single, two one-run singles and a pair of bases-loaded walks in the sixth, with five of its runs in the frame being of the unearned variety.

Lauren Wible was 4-for-4 with a walk and scored twice for Bucknell in the opener, while Masterton and Laura Schrager (Montclair, N.J./Montclair-Kimberly) were both 2-for-3 to pace the Leopards.

Single runs in the top of the first and top of the seventh, both with two outs, served as bookends in a 2-0 Bison win in game two.

Kris Devore stroked a two-out single to left in the first that scored Meghan Feller, while senior catcher Angie Stackhouse blasted her second home run of the season in the seventh to cap the win.

Lafayette out-hit the Bison 8-6 in the second game but stranded nine runners on the basepaths.

Lisa Vaccaro struck out three and walked two in the complete-game win. Devore was 2-for-3 for Bucknell, while Masterton and Megan Longo (Ivyland, Pa./Council Rock) both collected a pair of hits in the loss.

Lafayette returns to action on Tuesday, hosting Rider in a non-league doubleheader. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m.
