EASTON, Pa. (www.lafayette.edu) - Lafayette's offense did what it needed to, but the team was unable to stop a potent American attack in Patriot League volleyball action on Saturday afternoon at Bender Arena. The loss marked the Leopards' first in three matches, while American won its tenth straight.
Lafayette (14-7, 6-3) dropped a 30-22 opening game to American (17-6, 9-0) before putting up a valiant effort in a tough 30-27 loss in a game two that featured three ties early on. A three-point spurt from freshman libero Kari Horn at the line knotted the score at 6-6.
