Volleyball Announces 2026 Recruiting Class

Leopards add nine players from five states and four countries

EASTON, Pa. - Head coach CJ Werneke has announced Lafayette's 2026 recruiting class, featuring nine players who will join the Maroon and White in the fall of 2026.

"We are extremely excited to welcome our 2026 class. We wanted to bring in high-level players both academically and athletically, but more importantly, personally to make a great impact for our program and community," Werneke said. "Our signing class provides us with depth and encourages competition at every position. We are incredibly proud of the quality of scholar-athletes we have brought to Lafayette volleyball and expect a very bright future ahead."

Caroline Brubaker | MB | Morristown, N.J. | West Morris Mendham | Allegro Volleyball Club

AT WEST MORRIS MENDHAM:
Four-year member and two-year letterwinner who served as team captain in her senior campaign…racked up 329 kills and 131 blocks throughout her high school career…won a state sectional championship in her senior season, receiving all-conference first-team and all-group second-team laurels…dual-sport athlete who was a varsity javelin thrower for the track and field team…member of the National Honor Society and AP scholar who earned honor roll distinction.

Personal: Daughter of Justin and Jill Brubaker…has an older brother, Quinn, and two younger brothers, Thomas and Luke…father, Justin, played basketball at Susquehanna…older brother, Quinn, is a member of the track and field team at Catholic…born 6/05/08.


Alyssa Chu | L/DS | San Diego, Calif. | Patrick Henry | Wave Volleyball Club

AT PATRICK HENRY:
Four-year letterwinner who served as team captain in her junior and senior seasons…tallied over 1,000 digs throughout her high school career while lining up as an outside hitter…won a conference championship in her senior season…named the Eastern League Player of the Year in 2026…recieved honor roll laurels all four years and earned All-Academic Athlete status…named the Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2025-26 for her high school…co-founded a high school club that organizes and participates in beach cleanups.

Personal: Daughter of Felix and Lily Chu…has an older brother, Karsten, a younger brother, Koen, and a younger sister, Ashlyn…uncle, Paul Lotman, played indoor volleyball at Long Beach State and played for the U.S. national team in 2012 at the Olympics…born 1/27/08.


Johanna Groger | MB | Borken, Germany | Sportgymnasium Schwerin  | Schweriner SC

AT SPORTGYMNASIUM SCHWERIN:
Played in the second division of the German Volleyball League for five years and was second captain in her final season…in her first campaign, contributed to a team that won the league title…collected first in various leagues, including German Cup U18 in 2022 and the German Cup U20 in 2023…played for the state teams of North Rhine-Westphalia and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern…member of the German national youth team.

Personal: Daughter of Stephan Gröger and Annika Bauer…has an older sister, Sharon, and a younger sister, Ella…born 2/5/06.


Grace Jamison | OH | Los Angeles, Calif. | Marymount | Actyve Volleyball Club

AT MARYMOUNT:
Three-year letterwinner who was a part of a team which ranked as high as No. 2 in the country during her senior season…in her final campaign, collected 47 kills (37.0 kill percentage), 15 assists, 104 service aces and 13 total blocks…played eight years of club volleyball, six with Actyve Volleyball…three-year club captain…regualrly volunteers at The Giving Spirit, a nonprofit organization that assists in helping the homeless population in Los Angeles.

Personal: Daughter of Garrett and Tiffany Jamison…father, Garrett, was a captain on the Santa Clara volleyball team…uncle, Ryan Jamison, played basketball at California and overseas in Europe…born 8/24/07.


Noa Kamphuis | MB | Fleringen, Netherlands | Canisius Almelo | Dynamo Tubbergen

AT CANISIUS ALMELO:
Two-time dutch school volleyball championship winner…eight-year member of her club team, Dynamo Tubbergen…competed at the 2024 World School Volleyball Championship in Belgrade, Serbia…selected for the 2026 World School Volleyball Championship in Shangluo, China.

Personal: Daughter of Marcel and Corine Kamphuis…has an older brother, Tijn, and an older sister, Lynn…born 4/10/08.


LK LaMonica | S | Acworth, Ga. | Allatoona | 575 Volleyball

AT ALLATOONA:
Four-year letterwinner and three-time captain of the varsity squad…tallied 3,368 assists, 792 digs, 209 aces and 290 kills in her high school career…concluded her final high school season by earning the 4A Player of the Year award…three-time all-region first-team member and two-time Region 7 4A Player of the Year…named first-team all-state in 2024 and 2025…two-time regional runner-up, while also making appearances in the Georgia State Sweet Sixteen (2023, 2024) and the Elite Eight (2025)...honor roll student who was also a member of the National Honor Society. 

Personal: Daughter of Ryan and Millie LaMonica…has two younger brothers, Leverett and Lawton, and a younger sister, Lulu…born 9/28/07.


Gracen Nutt | OH | Mechanicsburg, Pa. | Mechanicsburg/Shippensburg Univ. | Fusion Volleyball Club

AT SHIPPENSBURG UNIV.:
Two-year starter who was named 2023 PSAC Freshman of the Year…as an outside hitter, racked up 628 kills and 278 digs while compiling a career record of 43-18…won the conference title in 2023 while ranking within the top 15 for average kills per set…medically redshirted in 2024, missing the season…returned to collect all-conference second-team laurels…tallied 10 or more kills in 18 matches.

AT MECHANICBURG: Three-year letterwinner who served as team captain for two seasons…collected multiple laurels during her senior season, including 2022 Mid Penn Conference Keystone Player of the Year and 2022 Penn Live Player of the Year…tallied 560 career kills while lining up as an outside hitter…won the conference championship in her final high school season…dual-sport athlete who was a three-year letterwinner and one-time captain in basketball…member of the National Honor Society for three years while being named to high honor roll for every semester.

Personal: Daughter of Kevin and Ruth Nutt…has an older sister, Logan…sister, Logan, played basketball at Mansfield…born 4/5/05.


Justine Puig | OH | Cormeilles-en-Parisis, France | Lycée Philippe Kieffer | AS Sartrouville

AT LYCÉE PHILIPPE KIEFFER:
Served as captain of the volleyball team, guiding the team to a second-place finish in the UNSS National Championship…two-time winner as the best outside hitter of the Coupe de France…won the national championship in 2023 and 2025…brings 10 years of volleyball experience to College Hill…volunteers at les Restos du Cœur, a charity organization co-directed by her grandmother.

Personal: Daughter of Patrick and Pauline Puig…has an older sister, Aurélien…born 9/12/09.


Brynn Ressler | L/DS | Colorado Springs, Colo. | Cheyenne Mountain | Colorado Juniors

AT CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN:
Four-year letterwinner and starter who finished as the program's all-time leader in digs (1,115) while tallying 382 kills…three-time all-conference selection…all-state libero and outside hitter as a senior…two-time all-area selection…two-time team captain…four-year Regional winner and State qualifier…two-time academic all-state selection who graduated cum laude.

Personal: Daughter of Adam and Lyndsay Ressler…has an younger brother, Hayes…born 10/16/07.
