Rodriguez Earns Special Teams Player of the Week Accolades

Nov. 12, 2007

EASTON, Pa. - Freshman Davis Rodriguez was named the Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week (11/12) for the second time this season. Rodriguez hit a crucial career-long 41-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to put the Leopards up by 10 in a 31-21 victory over Holy Cross last Saturday. He also went four-for-four on PATs for the afternoon.

Rodriguez was honored earlier in the season (9/17) for performance at Penn where he connected on a clutch 27-yard field goal with five seconds left on the clock to give the Leopards a one-point victory over the Quakers.

The St. Petersburg, Fla. native has seven field goals and 20 PATs on the season.

The Leopards are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Lehigh to play in the 143rd meeting of college football's most-played rivalry. Kickoff is at 12:30 p.m.
