Severe Storm Causes Leopards to Adjust Practice Schedule

Aug. 17, 2007

EASTON, Pa. - A severe storm in the Lehigh Valley produced lightning and hail, forcing head coach Frank Tavani to end practice early and resume later in the evening, under the lights of Fisher Stadium.

"That's the advantage of having the facility," said Tavani. "The storm chased us in, so we just sent everybody up. They got some rest, ate dinner, and practiced again at night. A year ago, we probably would have lost a practice."

Although conditions were somewhat better in the evening, the humidity was gauged around 96 percent. Saturday's weather should be better for the Leopards with a forecast of clear skies and temperatures in the mid-70s.

Lafayette will have two practices tomorrow. The morning practice is at 8:30 a.m. and the evening practice will start at 4:15 p.m. All practices are open to the public.

Camp Note: Jordan Cullinane has rejoined the team and will wear No. 52.
