BALTIMORE, Md. - Senior guard Andrew Brown (Littleton, Colo./Heritage) was selected to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team at the conference's men's basketball media day on Thursday at the ESPNZone in Baltimore.
Brown is joined by four other guards: American senior Garrison Carr, Lehigh junior Marquis Hall, Navy junior Chris Harris and American senior Derrick Mercer.
Brown was an All-Patriot League Second-Team pick at the end of the 2007-08 season after leading the Leopards in scoring 14 times and averaging a team-best 15.9 ppg. He broke school records for most three-pointers in a game (9) and most treys made in a season (99) during his junior year while also leading the team in assists (85). He needs 53 more three-pointers to break the career record held by Tyson Whitfield '01.
The Leopards tip off their season on Nov. 14 at Wagner at 7 p.m. before a three-game homestand against Stony Brook (Nov. 18), Temple (Nov. 21) and Rider (Nov. 23). Lafayette's first taste of Patriot League action will come on Jan 10 at Holy Cross.
