Box Score vs. Wisconsin Green-Bay | Box Score vs. Iona
OSCEOLA, Fla. - Lafayette (2-7) lost both games in its second day at the Rebel Spring Games. The Leopards dropped the first game 4-1 against Wisconsin Green-Bay. It took extra innings to decide the second game against Iona before the Gaels took the 4-3 win.
Sophomore Kasey Karr (2-for-3) hit two singles against the Phoenix to score Lafayette's lone run in the fourth inning. Senior Kristen Ruckno finished the game with a single and a double after she was 2-for-3 in the first game.
Rookie Ali Henry got her fifth start of the season against Iona, striking out four batters before Christine Hilcken took over in the fifth inning.
Karr drove the tying run in with an RBI single to score sophomore Christina Giambrone in the seventh inning. Giambrone was 1-for-4 in the afternoon contest with a two-run double. Junior Emma Kline had two singles against Iona, going 2-for-3 with one run scored. Neither club was able to break the tie until the Gaels scored to win it 4-3.
The Leopards do not play on Wednesday, but will resume action on Thursday at 11 a.m. against Fairleigh Dickinson and a 1 p.m. game versus Columbia.
