OSCEOLA, Fla. - Shortstop Christina Giambrone lifted Lafayette to a 5-1 victory against Wisconsin-Green Bay with homers in consecutive at bats on Thursday afternoon. The victory followed a 5-3 loss to Iona.

Giambrone, who led the team in home runs last year with nine, has racked up four in the past three outings. She went 4-for-8 between Thursday's two games, driving in five RBIs.

Kerry Griffin also went 2-for-4 with one RBI against the Phoenix (13-8) to facilitate the Leopards' first win at the Rebel Spring Games. Ali Henry pitched a complete game, shelling out nine strikeouts and limiting Wisconsin-Green Bay to four hits.

The Leopards lost their first game of the day to Iona after Erin Kyle's homer to left field in the third inning drove in three runs. The Gaels (5-9) increased their lead to 5-1 by the top of the fifth as Lafayette battled to get across the plate. The Leopards left six runners stranded on base in the bottom of the fifth and sixth innings.

Giambrone's double in the bottom of the seventh finally brought in two runs, but the effort was in vain as Lafayette dropped the 5-3 contest.

Lafayette (2-10) finishes its stay in Florida on Friday with back-to-back matchups against teams the Leopards have already faced this year: St. Peter's at 9 a.m. followed by Rider at 11 a.m.
