EASTON, Pa. -
The Lafayette Sports Network has once again teamed up with Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) and CBS College Sports to provide league-leading coverage of the Lafayette men's and women's Patriot League basketball seasons.
All of the Lafayette men's Patriot League home contests can be seen nationwide on MASN, reaching more than 65 million households via DIRECTV (Channel 640) and DISH Network (Channel 432) on a tape-delayed basis.
Twelve of the 14 telecasts this season are being produced by the Lafayette Sports Network (LSN), which annually produces the most expansive and highest quality television packages in the Patriot League. LSN's traditional live distribution to more than 10 million homes on RCN-4 and WBPH-60 covering all of Eastern Pennsylvania, has been enhanced this season by live coverage on all of RCN's cable systems in major markets along the East coast. RCN subscribers in Boston (226,000), New York City (250,000), Philadelphia (382,000) and Washington, D.C. (131,000) are able to watch all LSN telecasts.
Of note, the Lafayette vs. Lehigh men's game scheduled for Feb. 21 is part of the Patriot League's "flex" scheduling and may be selected for the league's television package on CBS College Sports.
As an element of Lafayette's longterm multi-media agreement with CBS College Sports, all LSN telecasts are streamed live on the internet and available worldwide through LSN All-Access on GoLeopards.com. In addition, all 14 Patriot League contests for both the men's and women's squad will be available on LSN All-Access.
Lafayette was the first of the CollegeSports.com partners to make live video streaming available to fans everywhere when the 2000 Lafayette-Lehigh football game aired live on GoLeopards.com.
Emmy-nominated local sports broadcaster Gary Laubach is handling all of the Leopards' play-by-play duties for the 13th straight season. Former Lafayette men's basketball coach John Leone is providing color analysis for the 12th season. In his ninth year as a member of the announcing crew is RCN's Dan Mowdy, who reports on the Leopards from the sideline.
Fans can also check out every Patriot League basketball contest, both men and women, on Patriot League All-Access through www.patriotleague.org.
