EASTON, Pa. - After a stellar start to the 2010 season, junior attackman Stefan Bauer has been added to the Tewaaraton Watch List, it was announced today.
The Tewaaraton Award is presented annually to the nation's top player at the conclusion of the lacrosse season.
Bauer currently leads the Leopards with 16 assists and is tied for fourth on the team with nine goals on the season.
He is fourth in the nation in assists, averaging 2.67 per game. As a team, Lafayette (6-0, 2-0) is ranked first in assists, totaling 10.50 each game.
His standout performance of the year came in Lafayette's 15-4 win over Wagner when he totaled seven points (five goals, two assists) on the afternoon.
Bauer joins classmate Tom Perini on the list. Perini currently paces the Leopards with 22 goals on the season and stands just one shy of 100 career points.
The No. 8 Leopards are in the midst of preparing for a Sunday afternoon showdown with No. 11 Drexel (6-1). Gametime is set for 1 p.m. at Rappolt Field and will aired live on LSN All-Access.
