EASTON, Pa. - After its second straight one-goal game, the Lafayette men's lacrosse team found itself ranked No. 10/13 in the latest USILA and Nike/Inside Lacrosse polls Monday morning.
The Leopards are ranked No. 10 in the USILA coaches poll and No. 13 in the most recent Nike/Inside Lacrosse media poll.
Lafayette staged a furious comeback on Sunday afternoon against now No. 11 Drexel before falling with 12-11 on a Dragon goal with 15 seconds remaining in the final quarter.
Steve and Colin Serling led the attack with four goals each. Senior goalkeeper Vinny DePasquale totaled double digit saves for the sixth time in seven games this season.
The 6-1 start is the best Lafayette start in school history through seven games.
The Leopards now shift its focus to its final non-conference home game of the regular season on Saturday afternoon against Mount St. Mary's. Face-off is set for 1 p.m. at Rappolt Field.
