EASTON, Pa. -
The Lafayette men's and women's lacrosse teams will play two games each this season in state-of-the-art Fisher Stadium, it was announced today by the Department of Athletics.
The men's squad, which currently sits at No. 15/19 in the latest USILA Coaches and Nike/Inside Lacrosse polls, will host Army on April 20 and archrival Lehigh on April 24 under the lights at Fisher Stadium. Both contests are set for 7 p.m.
Two classics are set up for the men's team. Last season, Lafayette dropped a 12-11 heartbreaker at Army but rebounded to defeat Lehigh 9-8 in the regular season finale in Bethlehem.
The women's team will play in Fisher Stadium on March 27 vs. Bucknell and April 9 vs. Colgate. The Leopards were victim to a tight 14-11 loss last year at the hands of the Bison and dropped a contest in Hamilton, N.Y. two weeks later to the Raiders.
The games will mark the first time Lafayette will play lacrosse at Fisher Stadium, since the venue's transformation in 2006. Should the Lehigh Valley receive significant snowfall prior to any of the four contests, the games will be held at Rappolt Field.
