EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette men's lacrosse team finds itself ranked in the top-20 of both national polls for the seventh consecutive week.

The Leopards come in at No. 17 in the latest USILA Coaches poll and No. 20 in the Nike/Inside Lacrosse national poll, voted on by the lacrosse media.

Lafayette is currently 8-2 overall and 3-0 in the Patriot League.

The Leopards are coming off a 2-0 week that saw it close out the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 13-7 win on Tuesday night at Marist. Senior Kevin Dunbar paced Lafayette with four goals and two assists on the evening. Senior goalkeeper Vinny DePasquale notched 13 saves to pick up his seventh victory of the season.

Four days later, the squad made the trek to Worcester, Mass., as it returned to Patriot League play to battle Holy Cross. The Leopards trailed the majority of the game, but Steve Serling's fifth goal of the afternoon tied the game with 1:34 remaining and junior Stefan Bauer's goal with 1:45 left in the opening overtime gave Lafayette a dramatic 13-12 win.

The Leopards are in the midst of its preparation for its final regular season roadtrip of 2010, making its way to Hamilton, N.Y. on Friday night to take on Colgate. Face-off is set for 7 p.m. at Andy Kerr Memorial Stadium.

NOTES:

The Leopards are 5-0 in road games in 2010.

The Leopards are currently tied atop the Patriot League standings with Army, who defeated Bucknell 7-6 in overtime on Saturday night. The Black Knights and Navy are the only teams to clinch a Patriot League tournament berth thus far. They meet this weekend at the "Day of Rivals" in Baltimore, Md.

Lafayette's final two home games (Army on April 20 and Lehigh on April 24) will be held at state-of-the-art Fisher Stadium. Face-off is set for 7 p.m. for both contests.
